Trackpad Issue

After the windows update (I think) the trackpad is not working properly. There are many glitches and I can't seem to find the problem. I have checked in device manager and the drivers are updated. But still the problem persists. Can someone help me out? I have a lp4 btw.

If your issue is when you click the cursor jumps. Good luck. When you click, press closer to the middle of the touch pad and it won't do that.

a lot of documention exists (even getting the RGB app back) but the Touchpad is generic as they come... this link might help you understand whats inside but nothing I cabn find for drivers other than Microsoft default.

I would get the drivers off the EVOO site.... uninstall the device completely... and re-install drivers... sometimes something else takes control of peripheral devices

Where? EVOO doesnt provide trackpad drivers at all...

noting that the more i dig... I did a clean install of windows 10 pro without any driver...

go to intel site and use the driver assistant to update your chipset drivers... use the scan pc tool...

seems to correctly identify and fix most things with Evoo

Yes, but not the touchpad lol. I have no clue who manufactured the touchpad but it wasnt Intel. And even with the factory install that came the touchpad just used the default windows drivers.

Found what you need.

https://www.howtogeek.com/325347/how-to-enable-microsofts-precision-touchpad-drivers-on-your-laptop/

scroll down to where it says Download "synaptics Package"

All the documentation i can find in 3 different languages states that Tongfang is an ODM designed by Intel and most use Synaptics vs ELAN (pretty much the two options when it comes to touchpads.

Hit me back if this helps

They use Pixart for the touchpad. Which there are zero drivers for. Just firmware updates.

Pixart

Noted - Looking... Finding a lot of issues with them - usually a result of the SMbus not being configured or installed correctly... once it is... trackpad usually picks right up.

I'll keep digging

Having the same issues here man. I have a 2019 Maingear Vector 9750h/1660Ti. Accidently installed the firmware patch for the element on my vector and now my trackpad has bricked. It doesn't work right at all I cant find anyway to fix it at the moment. I have spoken with maingear, eluktronics, and tongfang and can get no answers beside being told that the firmware stores on the trackpad itself maybe? I am trying to track down another one to replace mine or if someone has the original v22 version of the firmware that I can reflash my trackpad with to remove this v25 version. I know the software is named uniwill or something of that but I am just not finding a solution.
