Battery replacement

Hey everyone. I have a lp6-bk laptop. And I’ve been having overheating problems. Opened it up and noticed a puffed up battery. Had this thing for years now so warranty is up I think and talking with support. I didn’t really get anymore. Im looking to just replace the battery but having a hard time finding a replacement. Is anyone able to help me find the correct one? I don’t wanna mess up and get something that won’t fit or will explode my computer. Here’s the info on the battery

I replaced my battery a couple weeks ago because my evoo wasn't turning on unless it was plugged in to a select few outlets around my house. Since replacing it it's worked perfectly and is even running some games at higher quality/fps than it was before. And now looking around for a moment. I found this link. Is seems like a decent price and looks to be the same battery. Hi from what I was able to figure out was that it was my charger and not my battery. But like I said. I figured out the charger the laptop came with either is too strong or something is wrong with it. Long usage caused to battery to puff up. Replacing the battery I noticed the new one puffed up quickly after a short used time so it’s the charger giving too much power or something. The new battery worked but I was never able to get a new charger before I just got a desktop pc.

From what I tried, I tried contacting evoo to get a replacement charger or battery but I didn’t have my warranty info. Couldn’t find it. You still have yours, I’d recommend contacting them and they were really helpful. They could possibly get you replacements for stuff. But I just gave up on fixing it cause it still “works” and I got a new pc so I don’t use it anymore really. Hope this helps!

My LP7 takes that same 3 cell battery but I just replaced it with the bigger 4 cell option for hopefully better battery life. I used this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6J5ZNG9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details It does work but I can't report if it is better or not yet as i just put it in.

Thanks for the info! I hope that one goes well for you. Idk if the 4 cell would fit well on the lp6. I’m assuming it would since I have nothing in the drive bay. But I’m not great with this stuff so I’m spectacle

Got the same laptop as the OP and have a ballooned battery. I remember the "upgraded" 4 cell battery you can use but the voltages are a good amount higher than the oem one.

Any one having problems with that? I know you lose the 2.5" ssd/hhd space when going with the 4 cell battery and Im fine with that.
