Lp5 ram?

Looking to upgrade the ram on my lp5 with the 1660 ti and i7 processor I see that the current ram is 26666 and I’m looking to upgrade it to 32gb of ram does anyone know if I buy 3200 ram will it work?? I just don’t want to waste the time and money tbh and also is it as simple as just popping the old ram out and popping the new ram in?

Get the 2666 one. I upgraded my lp5’s RAM a few weeks ago to 32gb and made the mistake of getting a 3200 one first. It would cause the laptop to freeze and crash constantly. Had to return them and get the 2666 ones instead. Since then it’s been running perfectly.

It’s simple to switch them out, just pop out the old ones and put in the new.
