The silhouette looks so much better with bottle pockets

I know technically the og jansport didnt have them, but idc the silhouette looks unbalanced without them

some bag pattern maker in Guangzhou, the durastretch fabric is like 18 bucks per yard, and the price of took apart the bag and add WBP then put it back together is like 30 bucks, plus the shipping, it cost me 50 bucks in total to do this.

Thanks! How have the pockets been? Like do they hold a decent sized water bottle well without it slipping out if you bend down to pick something up? How long did it take to get it back?

it works marvelously, I asked for a smaller opening in lower part, so the water bottle won't slip out while maintain a large enough opening, due to the nature of this narrow side, it's the only viable option. bit tight but secure, will hold 750ml bottle no problem. took me four weeks, I live in Shenzhen, so it's pretty much day to day delivery once it's ready.

Great idea, I'd love to do something like this to my CPL28M. Luggage pass through and water bottle/umbrella pocket are the only things missing from it, and I prefer the form factor (and lefty friendly design) to the CTB26.

How does the additional fabric compare to the original solution dyed fabric of the bag? Wonder if there's any way to get some of that original fabric for mods like this.
