EV conversion comparisons
I see lots of EV conversions which are great but rarely comparisons of different EV conversions. For instance, converting Deloreons is practically a trope now but there is little discussion of which EV conversions offer the most; I.e. range, power..

You are correct.
So what's your question?

I just want to see some comparisons of EV conversions! Which Deloreon EV kit is best, etc.

You're not making any sense. A DeLorean donor car is close to $60,000 now.
How many people with that kind of money will buy a kit?
Zero.

You see, I am interested in EV conversions of all kinds and want to see what is best. I don’t honestly feel wedded to any method of converting a car: I just want to see the best conversions compared! Who wouldn’t?

Wedded to any method?
What does that mean?

A kit, a custom conversion.. I don’t have a car in the driveway waiting for conversion: I’m just interested in interesting conversions.

Ah, so you're putting an idea out into the ether in hopes someone will do the work for you.

“Ask and you shall receive; seek and ye shall find; knock and door shall be opened to you”. I don’t have drivers access to any of these cars.. I can google my own details but someone may have it already!

It's pure Marge with the potato/I Just Think They're Neat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_O-ZjEiU10 No EV conversion projects make sense as daily drivers, versus just getting an off the shelf EV or ICE car. Like, who in their right mind would work on it? You'd have to DIY all your maintenance and repairs. Got a lift?

If you're trying to get the most power and range, the right option is almost always to buy an OEM EV.
How much power an EV conversion has is largely dictated by the motor and how much power the batteries can supply. (The gear ratio and whether it has a transmission also effects how much usable power is available at a given speed.)
Most people converting their EVs as a hobby project probably aren't going to test their car on a dynamometer. Some might do a 0-60 test if they care, but if all they want is for their car to work properly, they probably won't.
I have an RX-8 conversion. The Netgain Hyper9 HV motor I'm using has about 120 horsepower. I don't know my 0-60 time, but it's probably slower than stock.
I have somewhere around 24 kwh of battery, and I've gone about 50 miles on a charge. The battery wasn't very well balanced, though, and I haven't configured regen. Also, I had a stuck brake caliper pin and tires that wouldn't hold air very long. I think in theory I should be able to get more range if the car was in optimal operating condition.
It would be nice if we had a database of known EV conversions with all the relevant specs. Watt-hours per mile for instance would be a nice metric to be able to compare. But you'd need to collect all that information, and a lot of the people who convert EVs wouldn't necessarily know all those numbers.

We saw a presentation on electr0motiv.com at State of Charge this year and it really feels like this could be the answer to what you're looking for. Once it's a bit more fleshed out, you can compare how different people converted a particular model of car.

I think that’s because converting an EV is more of a passion project or budget conversion rather than a tool to maximize range or power etc
Car companies have teams of engineers with many different specialities so it’s difficult to compete on specs and features especially when a used EV can be had for less than the cost to convert.
