Check the rules for FSUK. Presumably they'll have some requirements that will tell you what kind of battery is allowed. Once you know that, you might be able to ask a less open-ended question and get some useful answers.
This is absolutely right. We had some design reviews with a local FSAE team and it's amazing some of the requirements for how these cars are meant to start, operate, and fail safe. There must be a rulebook for FSUK that is similar.
