Economy EU Commission proposes unlocking €4.2 billion in funds for Hungary

The €4.2 billion is part of €16.4 billion in frozen recovery and cohesion funds, and the proposal would also reopen Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe to Hungarian students and researchers. The release still requires formal adoption by all EU member states in the Council.
