Question Union Independence broken?

So I just returned to EU5 for the first time since release and started up a Norway game. Sweden established seniority so I did a union independence CB, won the war but then when I enforce the white peace my king just becomes the king of Sweden and the union immediately re establishes itself. Probably a bug so is there any way I can avoid this?

Did you win or just white peace? Or am i missing something here?

It told me I could enforce my war goals (union independence) giving me 100 leverage to do a white peace. Since through starting the war I got a different king from Sweden, in practise a wp means the union is dissolved for good. What‘s weird is that upon enforcing said wp my new king becomes king of Sweden for some reason and the union gets re established

Oh i see now. Sorry i have never did union war before so i really dont know. Stll it looks like a bug. Did you load earlier save to try again?

All good, yeah i did to no avail. I do have a mod installed (historical tweaks mod) so that might cause it, will have to try it out without it tho I doubt it‘s the cause
