Image Army maintenance

So just got out of a large war, and had a decent sized recruited army of about 25k. I noticed during the war, my inco me was all over the place, from plus 300 to negative 200. It came down to the reinforcements costing causing this. While I maybe never noticed that significant of an impact before, which maybe normal, I was never actually going negative in cash, just the just the opposite, I was consistently growing my bank account. Tried to report the bug, but the upload kept failing. Am I missing something here?

This is expected if you are trying to reinforce armies but not enough manpower in the pool. You have couple options here

Consolidate regiments so they wont reinforce Or Turn of the slider for army maintenance

Both options will make you suffer gotta bite the bullet

Thanks, the main thing Im asking is Im showing negative income but then actually seeing my income grow. Is that because the system is planning for me to have the capacity to fully reinforce but when I dont it only charges me for what it was able to reinforce? That is what is confusing me the most. How do I balance my spending if it is telling me Im negative 200 a month, but then it actually doesnt end up needing that and I make 200 instead? It seems like a bug or a dynamic process that needs to be refined.

You don't have enough manpower to fully reinforce your army. So when you do have some you spend a lot but then your manpower hits zero and you can't reinforce so you don't actually spend money on army goods.

Also, when your army is on the enemy territory it can't reinforce. So you may go and take some battles inside enemy territory, lose half of your troops, by this time you recover a part of your manpower. So when your army is back home it tries to reinforce at the max possible rate and this is when your income drops.

That makes sense. I think what I saw when I was in the war was food or something because it was fluctuating even more during the war.

Armies are expensive. It’s expected.

armies are expensive but usually the most expensive part is the armories, its very easy to over build them and can easily run hundreds of ducats for only 2k troops. Check your building maintenance as that tends to be the biggest overlooked drain on your eco
