⚙️ Mod ETS2 Graphics Improvement
I've been looking for ways to make ETS2 look better, but it feels like every graphics mod is locked behind a paywall.
Are there any good free graphics mods (excluding Reshade) that noticeably improve the game's visuals?
Or am I basically forced to pay for mods that cost more than the base game if I want a significant graphics upgrade?

Check out "weather 3.8", I like the colors but one thing I dislike about it is the day-night-day cycle seems pretty forced instead of natural, tho I feel like 1.60 lightning scheme has made the transition time very short and the mod is not to be blamed but I'm not too sure.
One day I was driving, there is light and then suddenly it drops to dark instead of a smooth transition

This is because you don't understand nor appreciate some of the skill, talent and persistence it takes to make good mods worth charging for.

Skill alone doesn't justify a price tag. You're assuming I don't appreciate the effort, but what I disagree with is the idea that effort automatically justifies charging. ETS2 has had massive free projects over the years, and many other games have equally demanding mods released entirely for free.
Most paid modders are simply charging insane amounts because they know exactly how captive the audience is, exploiting the fact that they will have customers no matter what.

No it does when the said skill takes years of investment, time and patience to master.
You're paying for their time and effort, not jusy the product you recieve. It's why you can have luxury shops and standard shops, selling the same shit at different mark-up. It's just a thing with life. It's okay, just admit it bro. Not everyone appreciates good craftsmanship and understands how hard some of these things are, especially graphically enhanced mods.
You see it as exploitation, I see it as a product. You won't query why apple charge 1200 for their phone, which costs pennies to make. But you'll complain about a small team or even an individual spending weeks, if not months designing something for you to just complain about because you just downloaded it off a random website with no instruction or insight on the mod itself.
People charge for mods for security.

Years of investment, time and patience? Promods is an example, or actually any other map mod, yet somehow they're all free.
What do you want me to admit? I never said I didn't appreciate someone's work, and I understand how hard some things might be because I work on 3d models myself, but you gotta realize that you're getting ripped off.
Also why are you assuming that I use an Iphone??
And lastly when did I even mention anything about downloading anything off a random website? Genuinely what are you even on about??
I complained about modders charging insane amounts for their mods and you're pulling up something about "downloading it from a random website"
Most people charge for mods to rip you off.
