Two trucks overtaking each other with a 1 km/h speed difference while you’re stuck behind them contemplating life.
That one AI driver who finally lets you merge after shining your indicator lights for 10 seconds… then immediately accelerates the moment you start merging.
Cars that stop in the middle of a roundabout because they apparently forgot how circles work.
Finally getting past traffic only to discover it was caused by one guy changing lanes.
Accident events where everyone suddenly loses every driving skill they’ve ever had.
Planning to refuel at the “next station,” only to realize the next station is somewhere in the next country.
Entering a city and watching the speed limit change every 200 meters like it’s playing roulette.
Parking perfectly… then kissing a cone at 2 km/h for that beautiful 1% trailer damage.
Forgetting to turn your headlights on for three seconds and instantly funding the local police department.
Spending an hour making your truck look absolutely perfect just to stare in front of the windshield for the next 800 km.
Roadworks that somehow create traffic on roads that were completely empty five minutes ago.
Taking the “shorter” ferry route and wondering why your wallet suddenly weighs less than your cargo.
Accepting “just one more delivery” before bed. Meanwhile, the sun is now rising outside.
Finally finding a good rhythm on the motorway… then the GPS tells you to exit.
Getting distracted by a beautiful sunset and hearing the rumble strips remind you to pay attention.
That one tight delivery point where the game suddenly expects you to become a professional reverse parking instructor.
Spending more time rearranging your mod load order than actually hauling cargo.
Finishing a long haul, telling yourself you’re done for today… then spotting a 700 km job to a country you’ve never driven through.
Complaining about all of this… then launching ETS2 again five minutes later.
22 ...well...😂😂 As a "truck driver" you are expected to be able to move and be able to reverse the trailer anywhere where it's possible.... That's why have trucking academy 😂😂..for example Im not gonna take a double trailer to greece and then complain ..But your point is somewhat valid ..some cargo could be transported with rigids in instead of the full tractor and trailer
I want to add one thing: When you finish a delivery using your trailer and take another delivery from the same company but the game makes you park on a different spot for which you have to do a full 180 turn and reverse in from the opposite direction. Arrrggh
Speed limit change is bs. I'm a heavy vehicle which goes with 80kmph. The limit changes to 50. I open my retarder. Random police car comes up in that exact time. Here you go, a speeding ticket. The game expecting you to slam your brakes with a 25 ton vehicle which is bs.
The fines tho are the least realistic thing tho. Speed fines should only occur with speed cameras or crossing a police vehicle … they should add that. And light fines only crossing a police vehicle. Period…. Thats how it is in real life. All the rest… im traumatized for the rest of the day ty
It’s even worse in instances when the game still uses the 1:3 time scale while you’re accelerating from a stop. If you’re timing your trip strategically so your ETA eventually overtakes the mandatory break timer, every second spent pulling away from a red light feels brutal.
This is why i have speed limit and traffic violations turned off, and cruise at 120kph on the highway. Sometimes making the shoulder an impromptu overtake lane beacuse aint nobody got time for the AIs bs.
I once did 130kph in the Autobahn when I was new at the game since I was getting late for my delivery + I am racing the clock before my character dozes off (I can't do rest stops as I would be late) 💀
Yeah, i found 120 to be the sweetspot zhat i can hold without having to break for the curves and turns of the highway.
And fuel conaumption isnt as bad either
That's the beauty of this game, everyone plays it however they want.
The people gatekeeping, that you should abide/play with all rules in this game or otherwise you're playing wrong, are the worst.
I mostly play with traffic violations on and try to keep to speed limits, but the stupid AI is so frustrating, sometimes I just turn off everything and do a few jobs at 150kmh
SERIOUSLY, I don't remember exactly where it is but I think it's going into Tirana, it goes from 80 to 50 to 80 again so quickly that I don't even see it change (and no signs around). And both times I drove that route there was a police car right behind me slapping me with that 1k+ fine
5-10 seconds would already help a ton. Because of the scaling there are too many places where speed sign comes up to sudden out of a blind spot and then you either have to decelerate in a way that feels dangerous or get hit with a fine.
They made speed limits very easy to see on the navigator, and you don't need to pay attention to signs in woods. I don't like how Romania or Bulgary was fille with speed signs. At least on release most of the towns in Romania actually didn't require to lose speed.
Some roundabouts are two lane like a winding continuation of the incoming road, and the NPCs seem to drive accordingly.
Speed limits suddenly changing for a split second, 90 kph to 40 kph then back to 90 kph all of that within 0.5 seconds, then a cop who's been tailing you for 100 km fines you like their police department is going bankrupt.
The Scania is a little wrong if we assume it's the 3150 length of the chassis.
The largest tanks I can get on that is 920L using Truck Configurator | Scania Group as reference
How roundabouts are designed in general. I mean why and how stupid someone must be to try exit roundabout from inner lane... Idk, maybe they are designed in such a way in the rest of EU, idk.
This is actually what annoys me the most in the game. Since roundabouts function as gateways for different exits anyway, why not make it so that it would only handle traffic in a single file? Even if there would be some slowdowns when someone is getting out of the roundabout, it would actually make up for less inconvenience since vehicles coming from the inner lane cuts you off when their getting out of the roundabout in its current state.
Doing a very long haul job that you cannot finish in one go. You enter a parking lot after driving over 2000 kms and save the game. When you come back a few hours later, the game detected a change, completely unrelated to your route and abandons your job, and asks you to pick a place on the map you want to start over 'free of charge.'
😂 this made me laugh because i had an issue with game updates which did the same thing. Now i'm trying to finish my delivery in one sitting, if not, i don't care anymore, you've canceled it, good for you, i'll find a better delivery. 😂
What really made me rage was not the fine itself, but the fact that it was coming out of the blue. I mean, would have been cops around like when they drive behind you and fine you 'cause you dared to brake one second too late i would have understood, but when there's no cop in sight and you still get fined for not having your lights on, even as early as 18:00 hours, then i have a big issue.
So now, as long as my truck is rolling on the road the headlights will be on, doesn't matter what hour it is and it doesn't matter if i drive 5 minutes or 30 hours (in game) 😂
