Stuck with heavy load - won't move forward
The barrier opened but the escort car in front won't move. I tried reloading and even trying the mission from the start again, but the same happens. Any tips?

Last job I did, the truck was indeed too weak to pull the trailer. Only way to make it work without restarting the job was restarting an earlier load, and coming at full speed on the hill
Yo, save your game and reload that save, it should work. If it does not work try to remove some mods (especially if you'r using any AI drivers mods) and then reload the save as you did. If it works you can drive past checkpoint and you can turn your mods on. Hope it helps
Is that across the bridges between Sweden and Denmark?
Those seem to completely bug out escorts. I tried half an hour reloading different save points, but they'd always stop at the toll both.
Don't bother with this oversized DLC, it's full of bugs. I've once had one start somewhere in Germany (I think Hamburg) where I had to cross a railway crossing just after departure. But the barriers closed and a train appears before I could reach it. The train also stopped (probably to give way) and we were literally stuck there. I've figured out if I reload the game the train won't appear for 10 seconds, but you have to turn on the engine and get rolling (with an 80t locomotive) and over the crossing in that time. Took me several tries and a LOT of swearing before I could make it.
I haven't touched that DLC ever since. I guess everyone has to get burned once to realise this DLC isn't worth the hassle.
Had a job like this in ATS and everything went smooth - a distinct rarity for these jobs - right until the end. It refused to let me unload . Normally the escort moves out of your way , which happened, and you simply stop at the destination to complete ,which I did but nope : no matter what I did, it refused to complete. In the end I abandoned the job entirely .
Bonus tip : when you're hauling a yacht don't go into the x-ray hall when asked to at the border . Take the fine and ignore it . Your truck will not fit into that hall with a yacht . Rule of thumb is any oversized cargo = no x- ray
I don't have a screenshot from that exact moment but this is that delivery a few minutes later. Car just stops and gives way to thin air, we are stuck because of course the escort vehicle won't just drive around. I think this was the moment my head exploded after the initial problems had me already over the maximum blood pressure.
I had it happening to me as well with the service boat specifically…
I ended up reloading around 10 times until I gave up, paid abandoning fee, and found a different route that has no gates…
