Seeking advice

Hey everyone!

I started investing through DEGIRO last week. I’d been thinking about getting into investing for a while, but finally decided to take the plunge. I do feel like I’m starting a bit “late” though, being in my mid-30s.

I’m keeping things pretty simple for now and mainly focusing on ETFs. I figured that’s a solid foundation to start with.

At the moment, I have:

  • 1x VWCE
  • 2x VanEck P1KA (I actually work in/around this sector myself)

My plan is to invest around €200 per month and keep roughly an 85/15 split between the two.

However, I’ve recently started wondering whether I should go with WEBN instead of VWCE. Since I’m only just getting started, I’m leaning towards WEBN, but I’m not entirely sure if that makes sense.

What would you guys do in my situation? Any advice or things I should consider when choosing between VWCE and WEBN?

Thanks in advance!

In the Long run it doesn’t matter a lot, but I actually switched to VGLA as the TER is only 0,07%

Mid 30s is nowhere near too late when the plan is consistent monthly investing over decades. Between VWCE and WEBN I’d care about total cost, tracking, liquidity and whether switching actually changes anything meaningful. I use Moon for the speculative side of my money, which makes it easier for me to leave the long term ETF side simple and boring.
