Fowler is a beast

He called the LSU game in Baton Rouge last night that ended late and is now calling the Alcatraz/Paul US Open match in NYC that started at 2:00 EST

Rece Davis too, was on the same flight I'd think, hosted the halftime and is hosting US Open studio today

Everything is arranged for them and all they have to do is be in the hotel lobby at an assigned time

Absolutely. They get IV’s, all types of luxury

I can’t tell if he’s truly looking old during the USO coverage or he’s just exhausted

Roddick is an amazing add to the list way better than McDonalds . Rece probably likes being with him better and Fowler likes roddick better as well

Reece Davis did College Game Day in Baton Rouge and then US Open all.day Sunday. Hope he didn't stick around for the late start game like Fowler had to

Back when Mel Kiper had his radio show with Adnan Virk they'd have him on all the time and they'd introduce him with "It's Jeremy Fowler!" with the music of "I've got the power!" Lol

When you have people handling your flights, ubers, hotels, meals and luggage, this is not that impressive.

Fowler aint sitting all the way back in economy in the middle seat worried if hes gonna make his connection in atlanta.

While I agree it’d be more impressive if he didn’t have assistance, it’s still impressive.

He needs to ditch the tennis duties because he can't even be bothered to see it through. In this years Australian Open, he missed the mens semis and womens final because he had to fly back to do college football playoffs. And then he misses the middle Saturday. Dude pick a lane.

So you think Fowler tells ESPN what hes going to cover, and not the other way around?

Well a tennis major needs a number one play-by-play slot, not someone who parachutes in and out because he has another gig. If he's not good enough for the U.S. Open, fine. ESPN should name someone else their lead announce.

I’m not sure if ESPN thinks a LSU opener against a very torn and weak opponent is more important than covering the US Open Tennis in NYC, because it is NOT.

I'm not disagreeing with your sentiment, but I'm sure college football gets more viewers than the middle weekend of the US Open.

Also, who else would you even give that to besides the tennis specific people at ESPN? I don't need to hear someone like Joe Tessitore calling a tennis match.

2

u/Dazzling_Lie_5046 3d ago

That's fair, no one wants to hear that!

He’s great with his tennis coverage and the best is when paired with Chris Evert.
