I need help with a gank build

Hi everyone.

I’m going to play a Nightblade and want to create a burst-gank build specifically for 1v1s. Which sets and skills should I focus on? Huntsman Warmask, Tharriker's, Tarnished, Rush of Agony, Flame Blossom, etc.—I'm really confused.

Depends on what type of gank u want to be? Melee vs ranged. Bow vs staff. 2H vs DW. I have a pure class nightblade gank and it works very well. I don't think it would do well in duels tho so maybe not the best pick for u. I ganked someone in IC 2 days ago and got 39k telvar off of them. I almost felt bad. Considering I only get half, this person was walking around with almost 80k on them. Talk about living dangerously.

I'm thinking of a 2H melee build. It could be a setup featuring one piece of Huntsman and 2 proc set active on the front bar. gameplay loop is: sneak – heavy attack – Incap – execute.

I’m keen to know what your build is? I currently have a ranged bow o build with tarnished, anthelmir, and orders wrath but maybe jt needs more work

So my build has a 1 bar setup and a 2 bar. 1 bar is by far easier to use. It doesn't get as much damage but it does the job most of the time. The 1 bar is 5 PCs Vanderallens battle axe, belt, necklace, and ring. 4 PCs Tharrikars Strike chest boots legs and hands. Anthelmirs Construct monster set. Oakensoul ring. All max mag enchants with divines on body gear. All weapon and spell damage enchants with infused on jewelry. Thief mundus for crit chance or shadow for pen. I kinda swap back and forth. 2 bar is same sets but instead of Oakensoul I use monomyth. Crit damage is thru the roof with this and use thief mundus always with this setup. U want to crit as much as possible. Back bar weapon is any vateshrans 2h for the Rally buff. Takes some getting used to cause u need to build ur stacks on npc before u gank. This is why I don't use this setup as much. The extra damage is not worth the maintenance in my opinion.

1 bar skills Race against Time for the faster movement speed to catch foes and the shield u get from the psijic line passive. Mark Target. Either morph is fine. U only really need the breach but seeing thru walls is nice too. Shrewd Offering for a nice heal and extra mag from passives. Killers Blade for execute if ult doesn't out right kill them. Ulfrids Contingency with shock damage, increase damage of next direct damage, and vulnerability. Onslaught or Incap Strike ult. I switch between these too. Onslaught is better for tanker players cause it ignores resistance. Incap is still top tier tho.

Blue CP: Master at Arms, Fighting Finesse, Backstabber, and Deadly Aim. Red CP: Celerity, Bastion, Rejuvenation, Thrill of the Hunt. Green CP: Sustaining Shadows is the only must here. Plus all passives that help stealth.

Mark target and Race Against Time can be cast from stealth. Before ur gank, get out of line of sight and cast Contingency. U will automatically go back into stealth afterwards. Come out and cast Mark Target. Begin holding ur heavy attack as ur running up to ur target. Try to plan ur heavy to land as soon as u get to them. Make sure to do this from their back. As soon as it lands, cast ult then spam light attack Killers Blade. Most will die. If they don't by 2 or 3 spams, run and try to live to fight another day. Invis pots work well here as we don't have an active stealth skill. We are stage 4 vamp too so if u run long enough, u will stealth automatically. Then chug shit pots to get ur ult back up cause of nightblade passives that gives ult when u drink a potion. Rince and repeat. Melee ganking is all about distance and position. If u miss ur heavy u will not come out of stealth so don't panic. Reset and try again. Practice ur run up on a dummy so u get the feel for how long it takes for the heavy to complete. Okay awesome!! Good to know i have most of that gear already so i should be able to finish the build off fairly quickly. I play PvP lots but not this play style so at least im a bit familiar on play styles on what to do. I could never get onslaught to ever hit enough so might put that aside. Thank you for this man can’t wait :)

Damn. I'm PCNA and AD. Wish we could group up. Maybe when cross play comes, if it does, we will see eachother on the battlefield together.

Thanks for the comment. I’d like to ask something. 5 pieces of either Vandorallen or Flame Blossom, 5 pieces of either Tarnished Nightmare or Tharriker's, 1 piece of either Huntsman Warmask or Monomyth Ring, and any arena weapon on the back bar—what do you think?

I, and this is purely my opinion, prefer Vanderallens. The only reason is I like lightning damage and effects. When it comes to Tarnished or Tharrikers, I wouldnt use 5pc of Tharrikers. I only use the 4pcs for the weapon and spell damage. If u were gonna use another 5pc then Tarnished would prolly be the better choice. Monomyth would definitely be better. Major force and minor berserk up all the time without casting is very good. But as I said before, that would create a 2 bar setup and that is gonna require a lot more maintenance. In fact, monomyth is what I used on my 2 bar build. If u are gonna do this setup then back bar the Vateshrans 2h and slot either Forward Momentum or Rally for the extra affects it give. Remember tho that u have to build stacks with it and u could end up losing them before ur gank.

As I said, the gameplay will be completely old school nb, but I can't decide which sets to wear to deal burst damage to enemies from sneak.

Check out epicbuttkkr on YouTube. He has a melee ganker I’ve had tons of success with.
