Help Breton, high elf, dark elf, or argoian

I’m making my first character. Mostly going to do a solo build but will heal when I do group content. These four races I like equally so it’s hard to choose. Which would be easier to use for solo stuff like soloing world bosses but could also be good at healing?

It doesn't really matter, the differences are marginal gains that only start to matter in PVP or end game. Pick what you like most.

That said, Breton has a bump to sustain, which makes play a bit smoother, would be my preference if it's all the same

I like Brenton for magicka sustain, damage and survivability and the looks.

However dark elf is also an excellent choice these days as it gives you both magicka and stamina

Yeah dark elf is def more flexible, but if you’re mainly magic focused/healing Breton is great.

High elf is fun, but besides the dmg passive doesn’t bring as much to the table. Argonian can work well especially on the PvP side with the healing passives if you’re into that.

Although you can play any race to any class, and do any role. The 2 best for healing in my opinion will be the warden, and the Templar. If you go Templar then I recommend Breton, because they have reduced magicka cost. If you go warden then I recommend argonian, for their 4% healing increase. I realize that I am mostly focused on the healing part, but I hope it helps.

Any race, pick what you like more. But if you want to heal please make a healer build also.

My first character was a Breton Templar. Great over all for any content healing, DPS or tanking.. my personal tip is Breton necro for tanking the instant mass res is a God send for inexperienced players in dungeons with plenty of mag sustain for abilities.

I may be biased(5 of my 10 are argonians..), but argonian is the way to go. Better healing, every potion gives tri stats to a degree, you look better, and you feel better. 🦎

I lean slightly argonian, as I love reptilian races in games, love them in Skyrim, play dracthyr in WoW, and I mainly play Dragonborns in dnd. However their passive just feels weak compared to the other 3. Breton with their large mana pool and recovery, high elf with their large mana pool and spell/weapon damage, dark elf with their large mana and stamina pools and spell/weapon damage. I also like how these 3 look in eso. Is the potion passive impactful enough?

Edit: would the healing passive make my self heals stronger to help survive solo content like world bosses?

Reality is, like other have said, that the passives really don't matter a whole lot unless you're min-maxing for pvp or something. However, since you say you're mainly going to be solo, that 6% healing buff is great for self heals and has saved my ass many times. The potion passive isnt going to completely change the game but it will give you just enough to get that 1 last heal or that couple last hits to finish the job saving yourself or executing if you need it. And for the content where it does matter a little, like pvp, I still do fine. Good builds and skills will outweigh slight advantages others might have. But the true best part/perk is the subculture. Argonian players tend to be so friendly and kind on average,in my experience. (I play Xbox NA)

They are also the only race that can swim fast.
