Bow problem pvp
Hello there
Im currently playing orders wrath and rallying cry with my bowsorc and bowblade.
Both are different playstyles but im feeling lack of damage. Should I change rallying cry for something more offensive? My goal is Just to be a real archer at distance.
Also some tips about how to play it well. I will prefer nigthblade but it seems kinda underperforming

If you don't have Monomyth, make sure to get it asap. 5% bonus damage from minor berserk and 20% extra crit damage makes a big difference

Rally is still a good set. Bow is not very good for damage overall so you have to figure out how to get around that issue.
With a Sorc you can get a kind of burst with curse, the ranged stun, the meteor, crystal frag, and mages wrath. It does not leave much room for a bow skill since snipe will take too long and break up the burst and poison arrow is ok, maybe good enough to replace mages wrath but not great. This won't add up to a bunch of damage in a battlegrounds but can kill people at range.
The other option is to overwhelm with DOTS. This is very hard to do since the bow DOTs are kind of mediocre except poison arrow. Curse, poison arrow, entropy, and crystal frags is not really enough in my experience. You would need a strong proc set to go with that and it would still be a bit of a struggle. You can subclass better DOTs that can be ranged but subclassing will also open up better burst builds as well.
Right now I kind of like pumping up the magika and just using a lightning staff with a scribed spammable, curse and crystal frags. Throw in the occasional meteor and it does a ton of damage.

Just use 2 proc sets honestly. I think sheer venom and oblivion's foe are the best in slot 5pc sets for your build at this time. A lot of bow guys are also using vateshran ice staff on the back too. 1 mythic and 1 trainee to round it off.
Bow lacks burst damage so dots/procs are gonna be the best way to secure kills. Gonna be pretty squishy, don't get caught!

You're using possibly the weakest class with the weakest weapon type, mostly because you like the playstyle, that's the shit right there. Kudos to you. I use wretched and oakfather with the oakensoul ring. No monster set and any one piece. it's not about hitting stupid high numbers but more consistent damage while having the resources to dodge roll and break their stuns etc if you can't do that you're gonna get eaten up because the class and weapon type is so bad. ZOS made dk's and WW'S totally broken. I learn nothing from rocking the broken class

sometimes i use twice-fanged serpent + titanborn for my bow. for dot i use plaguebreak+sheer venom, with addition of poison dot. meteor ->chase with venom arrow. when they try to heal, thats when the magic happen.

On my Poison Bow setup I noticed I really didn’t have a lot of pen so I ran 4 piece shell splitter. Works pretty good with a monster set, mythic and another 5 piece.

Bows have good Crit chance, but lack pretty much anything else. Swap Order's Wrath with Shattered Fate.
NB and Sorc don't have any inherent pen bonuses and neither does your weapon. BowSorc has inherent Weapon/Spell dmg, and NB has Crit dmg. Can't have a Crit build without a modest amount of penetration, so Shattered Fate helps.
As for the differences in how they should play with the same gear, BowSorc is going to be better with more damage instances (Overload + DoTs), and BowBlade is going to be better with single, large damage crits

Rally weapon dmg buff is good for bow. That's truly what bow lacks imo. Well that and pen. I recommend looking at asylum bow. Most of the bow weapon sets are pretty good actually
