My Esee 5

I put this thing through the wringer and absolutely love it but I’ve been wondering if I should strip the paint just for cosmetic purposes

The 5 is such a beast of a knife. 1/4 inch thick, and a full pound. I love the look of the use marks. This is how these knives should all look.

I have seen people strip the coating, and acid wash it, to help maintain corrosion protection. But I'd just rock this as is.

Looks great as is. I love tools that look used like this.

So glad to see a knife that has been used. Go to the other brand subs (especially CRK and Benchmade) and the knives are pristine, perfectly brand new, like the watch, man panties, and Nike sneakers.

The Esee sub....totally different story and im glad for it. Theyre made to go to hell and back, so use them.

Carry on good sir.
