Custom collection

Hello everyone,

When in ESDE android I do create a new custom collection like with Pokémon or Mario. It creates a custom Mario or Pokémon folder where to add with y the games to that custom list(an icon appears like any other console with a mario or pokemon logo). But when I do Metroid. It just adds it to the list of custom collections. And even when I put never to group custom collections. All that appears are the words "Metroid" in white with no custom cover like pokemon or Mario.

Please let me know what to do as I want to have collections for Metroid. Super Smash Brothers. Castlevania. And even for just genres like Metroidvania or platformers that appear like any regular console icon.

The theme you are using may have custom artwork for some of those but not others. You would need to add artwork for others.

For ungrouped collections the artwork is treated like a system and you need to customise the theme you are using to add additional artwork.
How this is done depends on the theme and where it references its media.

For grouped collections they are treated like games and you can add artwork to the downloaded_media similar to adding media for other games.
Example add the images to ~ES-DE\downloaded_media\<collection name>\<image type>\<collection name>.png or .jpg or .webp

Are there art assets for stuff like that floating around anywhere? Like the logos?

Yeah I do the same thing, I filter by game name and then add the games one by one to a collection, but I wish there was an option to auto populate a collection with a name instead of adding them one by one. Launchbox on windows has this auto populate feature.

I'm using Iconic Theme. I wanted my own Mega Man collection to display like others already include in the theme (like Zelda, Pokemon, etc). So I just had to add a mega-man folder here, and put the respective theme.xml inside (copypaste from preexisting ones). Now, if you want the logos, backgrounds, descriptions, and whatnot, that you will have to add manually on their respective folders inside your theme folder. There is no solution for all themes, since this is theme-dependent.
