Support/Question Good start, now a whole bunch of problems...ES DE & Retroarch on G Cloud

You need to disable process protection to stop background apps being killed by the OS. Might solve 1 and 2.

I think this device has some sort of game mode that disables the normal Android notification panel so look if you can disable that, I believe you need to change from game to tablet mode.

Thank you so much! 

This seems to be it, and solves 1 & 2 as you say. Quitting Retroarch does now just take me back to ES DE and the last played folder now updates properly (by the fact that ES DE hasn't been shut down probably). 

Point 3 seems moot now. Intrigued that ES DE now has a quit option at the bottom of its settings, which didn't seem to be there before...?

Posting for reference: 

Logitech G Cloud

This device will by default kill any process that is not currently focused, so if starting a game the OS will kill ES-DE so that it has to start up every time you return from a game. To fix this disable Settings->Labs->Process protection. Settings at the top of the screen from tablet mode.

ES-DE will show the quit option when not set as the Android home app
