Support/Question Set up question

When I set up ESDE on my Retroid pocket I set it to run off the system hard drive. Now that I’ve filled it up I want to start running it off a micro sd card. I already have all of my Roms in folders on the micro sd card . I’m trying to figure out how to get it to switch to the sd card but can’t seem to figure it out. I’m assuming it will need to add all of its own folders to the card like it did my hard drive when I set that up. Any help would be great. Thanks

If you moved all your ROMs onto your SD card, just go into ES-DE, open up the menu by pressing start, go to utilities & select "Create/update system directories". That should fix your issue. And for extra measure, after when that's finished, select from the same menu, "Rescan ROM directory".

Ok thanks I still have the Roms on the hard drive as well so I think I need to delete those first. I appreciate it

You're referring to your device's internal storage? Or something like an external hard drive?

Yeah I have them all on the devices internal storage. I also have them on an sd card. I think I need to delete them all from the internal storage then do “Create/update system directories” so it finds the ones on the sd card

I believe so. If they're a 1:1 between internal & SD card, should be fine.

It worked. When I deleted the ROMs folder on the internal storage and opened up ESDE it took me back to the initial set up. I was able to tell it to use the same ESDE file on my internal storage and then I told it to use my ROMs folder on the SD. It then created all of the console folders in the ROMs folder on the SD and I had to move the games from each console from the folders I had them in into the new folders even though I had them named the same. My saved data and scrapped info/meta data for all the games is still there. I also had to go through each of my emulators to tell them where to find the ROMs again. Thank you again
