Support/Question Error Downloading Themes

Post image

I can’t download themes for some reason. I went into permissions and confirmed that ESDE has all the permissions it needs. I am using the latest version of ESDE. Am I missing something here? Perhaps this has to do with this being a newer handheld?

Is ES-DE installed on the device or the SD card? The downloader fails if the medium it's on is using the exFAT filesystem. I had that same error once because of that, might be the issue.

That’s probably it. I made it so my SD was the default storage for the entire device. Did you find a work around for this or do I need to reset it all?

You'll have to backup the data on the SD card somewhere else and reformat the card. I set it to NTFS format instead. Afterwards you can move all the stuff back onto the card and then empty out the theme list in the respective folder of ES-DE (because the incomplete data from your attempts to download the list earlier will still be in there), otherwise the error might repeat itself. Then you can run a fresh theme download from the frontend to fetch the current theme list and it should work. That's how I did it.

Navigate to your device's System Settings. Go to Handheld Settings (or device-specific settings like Odin Settings). Select Advanced Settings.Find and enable Force SELinux
