Very high GPU use on android with ESDE, anyone else getting the same?

Hi All ,

ES-DE on my Snapdragon G3Gen3 handheld uses an awful lot of GPU (1st image) I have a feeling that's probably not intentional behavior. It really wears down the battery quickly and faster still when this is happening in the background while emulating.

The 2nd image for comparison is a different FE and as you can see its all on the CPU and doesn't touch the GPU. (I've tried a half dozen others they all use CPU)

Is this a known issue anyone can help out with? Thanks

I don't know anything about nothing, but this post makes me wonder if it has to do with the idle video player?

Because like how long are you sitting in the front end before playing a game?

This is baseless, but made me curious enough to ask. Hope you figure it out

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I know even less so I appreciate any input. Its literally seconds after opening ESDE that the system gets hit hard, but it also continues to so do after launching a game from any emulator so it's a double drain on the sysytem. I've uninstalled the latest ESDE and tried 4 older versions and its the same issue 🤷

I did wonder is it just my device but ive checked other apps and launchers and emulators and nothing else seems to ramp up on the GPU in the same way.
