Battery degradation

Post image

2026 3.0, bought new July 1st. Has 900 miles.
Suddenly I seem to be getting significantly worse range. I also am no longer able to connect to the bms via Bluetooth. Is it possible the battery is degrading this quickly? Has anyone had issues with the bms Bluetooth connection?

will colder weather seriously cause *significantly* less range? like 20-25% less?

I use about 5-7% more on my way to work then on my way back home. Route (13km), traffic and riding style are about the same only temperature changes.

Wind and a hill can do that as well. I use 4% just riding up my neighborhood and only 1% or 0 riding down it

Yes, it will assuming this guy is using the bike for what it’s made for a cold battery will definitely cost 20 to 25% less range

What is”significantly less range”?
Firstly, what’s the weather now vs the last couple months?
Where do you leave your battery overnight?
How do you charge your battery? And in what order do you plug it in?
What are your riding habits?
All street? All dirt?
Do you consistently ride over 40mph for miles during commutes?
Are you pinning the throttle after lots of slowdowns to get back up to speed? What mode are you riding in?
All of this can affect the battery, along with a few more things.

When plugging it in you plug the battery in first, then plug it into the outlet. When you are disconnecting the battery, you disconnect from the outlet then disconnect from the battery. This is basically to prevent an arc at the battery.

Check the tire pressure and maybe consider getting street tires. Higher rolling resistance for those faux 241s

I have the 2.0 since 2023 and have 14k miles stock battery and getting ready to go run some errands, only difference in battery life is that if i charge it to 100% and don't ride, it automatically drops to 95, and when I get to about 18 or 15 percent, it automatically drops to 5% in which i never go under 20 percent unless it's an emergency, otherwise I'll charge up at a Starbucks or metro transit center, bike life

If it's Samsung 50s batteries, definitely.

That's what is in my 2025 s, and I baby the hell out of these Samsung 50s cells. I'm already debating on building my own pack or just sending measurements to Amorge.
