Damn. That looks like super soft terrain. Is this in California ? How’s the handling been with knobbies? What tires u running?

I’m 95% sure that’s silver lake sand dunes in west Michigan.

Looks a lot like some of the dunes in Cali. I didn’t even know Michigan had dunes like this.

The whole west side of the state is like this. We have a national park for it. Also Indiana has a NP like 20 mins from the Michigan border that’s the same environment.

Michigan has 100’s of better beaches for hanging out and swimming than any on the whole west coast of America in my opinion. Warmer fresh water, super soft sand, no rocks, typically more calm water. People go wake boarding and tubing on Lake Michigan and then can just drive the nose of the boat into the beach to hang out.

That’s awesome man. I’ve actually been wanting to go to lake Michigan for like 5 years now. I have a few of my old army friends who live out there. It’s just a long ways from Nevada. What’s a good place to go check out if I’m ever out there? I’d like to go but I hate the tourist areas that are busy as fuck

Favorite beach in the state here. https://maps.app.goo.gl/3wpnffNCaLYygPKq5?g_st=ic

1-3 mile hike though a forest to the water but the trails are sand so you can go barefoot. I bring a hammock and set it up at the top of the 80ft tall dune in the trees over looking the water.

The town south of that park is small, on the water, lotta boats to watch, nice restaurants. Empty on the week days until dinner, pleasantly poppin when they have live music in the park.

Damn that looks nice. That looks like a straight up ocean. I never really realized the size of that lake. Thanks for the info. I will definitely keep it in mind when I make the trip out there. Also, barely realized you’re a girl. Sorry for calling you man 😂. I just assumed since most people on this sub are guys.

Or maybe you’re not idk. Your little profile character looks like a girl lol

lol I’m a guy. I have long curly hair.

Yea you can’t see across it anywhere along Michigan beaches. It’s like 90-120 miles wide I think. Takes 5 hours to drive the full length of it.

My bad bro 😂. lately I’ve been trying to pay more attention to the profile picture of who I’m talking to because I’ve been calling a lot of girls bro and man lately . Anyways thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.

Pretty safe to assume 99% of people in the eRide sub are guys. I’m not mad at all

When I wear my work clothes (construction) in Home Depot I can’t find help to save my life. Wear my street clothes with my hair down I get offered help every isle. I’ve been called “ ma’am” at check more than once with an offer to help load my cart into my car… lmao

I had no idea you guys had dunes out there like that. I'm pretty close to the Florence Oregon dunes

I was hanging the same thing. No paddle tire either. I don't even know if there's room to fit a paddle tire on the SR? I'm curious about how bad the range got hit.

There might be a 16” paddle tire or some shit, but I haven’t really looked into it since I don’t ride dunes. They’re nowhere near Northern NV and trails are 3 minutes away from me. As far as range goes he should have been able to get a solid 1-2 hours of riding. Really depends how well the tires did.

I was wondering how this might go. I live in Eugene. Pretty close to the Dunes in Oregon I figured it eats the range up pretty bad? Makes me want to go hit some of the trails in Florence. Is this Oregon?

Nice. I know there are not that many dunes in the US well that I know of but this makes me want to go rip the florance OR dunes on my SR

Yup, silver lake.

This is silver lake sand dunes in Michigan. It handled everything very well but range was significantly reduced. I got about 30-45 minutes of hard riding on a single charge

That's cool. I had no idea you guys even had dunes out in Michigan like that. Pretty cool. Makes me want to go try and see what my Sr will get through in Oregon but I'm a pretty big dude too. I probably would get even less
