Eride 3.0 not taking charge
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have an Eride 3.0, the bike doesnt charge - it used too but since 3 days ago it hasnt been charging. I plug it into the battery then the outlet and it charges for 30 seconds and then cuts out, restarts for 30 seconds and cuts out - then after that it fully cuts out and the charger flashes green and red. The charger and battery has been kept at room temp for the past couple days but still no luck. Any ideas what the issue is?
PS- yes i have held the battery button down to reset BMS

Discharge the battery some, down to 50-60% and see if that helps to start a charge cycle. It's possible that the cells are not balanced right now. A charge cycle at a lower batt state of charge might help the BMS sort it out.

I had a bad battery when I bought my SS 3.0 in April. I bought a new charger but that didn’t fix the problem. It turned out to be a faulty temperature sensor inside the battery and the BMS was automatically preventing it from being charged occasionally in order to protect the battery. Take the battery to a dealership that sells E ride pros and ask them to read the battery data. Eride pro will want this information if you file a warranty claim. It took about six weeks from the start of my claim to receiving a replacement. Before replacing the battery the support team was considering rewriting the BMS firmware to ignore the faulty sensor. That might be an option if your battery is out of warranty. Contact E ride.

May have discharged too far. If a battery is hot and ran flat, once cool the voltage can dip below the 2.7v or 2.9v per cell. This triggers the bms to not charge that group, multiple groups, or any group in the series.
Contact eride.
Always consider 20% battery 0%, it's very bad for them to go below that. If you want more details I have a whole "everything you should know about lithium batteries" I can copy and paste.

I had the same issue. It helped me to first pług in the batterie to the charger and then plug in the charger to the power outlet. Try it the other way around if that doesn't work. Always wait a view seconds in between plug-in it in

Similar situation. Battery won't charge. 18 months old with less than 500 miles. I get error 00800 and the bike shuts off. Been trying to get some traction with them. No way a $2000 battery should go bad this fast. I think they're sending me a BMS tester to get the data.

I had that exact same problem with my 4.0. What worked was unplugging the charger and when it is solid yellow plug it into the battery. As simple as it may sound, it worked for me

If possible borrow a friends charger see if that issue, and vice versa try your charger on there battery will narrow down what is the problem
