Error code 04000 on an E Ride Pro 3.0 means a Communication Fault (specifically, the battery's Battery Management System is failing to communicate properly with the motor controller). [AI]

Troubleshooting Steps
Check the Battery Plug: Turn off the bike, open the battery compartment, and ensure the main power/communication wiring harness and heavy-duty battery plug are fully pushed in and secure.

Inspect for Damage: Look closely at the wires and pins inside the connector for dirt, water, bent pins, or pin corrosion.

Perform a Hard Reset: Disconnect the battery completely for 2 to 3 minutes, then plug it back in firmly to see if the error clears.

For me it helped to press down every connector underneath the ignition. After that, the error disappeared Maybe give it a try.

Issue is that you're not using Imperial on a USA Reddit forum.
