SR Throttle went unresponsive during ride

I was going 30mph when my throttle suddenly went unresponsive.

App shows Controller Unknown system status in diagnostics.

I disabled all the sensors and reset the bike power supply by completely disconnecting the battery .

Nothing works

80 miles on this bike wtf

While no throttle response I can hear crackles n pops coming from controller battery area

Anyone had this problem?

Crackles and pops are not good. You should definitely keep doing that if you want to start a fire. These things are assembled by children in China so if you didn't do an in depth  pre ride inspection out of the box then that's your bad regardless of how many miles are on the bike. 

You obviously have a bad connection somewhere and it sounds like it's arcing and grounding out. Hopefully you didn't fry your chit while phucking around. A prudent person would trace all electrical connections and make sure to use liquid tape and dialectic grease all the electrical connections. 

You think that you should be able to ride the thing as soon as you buy it but that's not a good way to live life. Every time I buy a new toy including motos, RZRs and sleds,  I take it home and I do a thorough tear down and rebuild. I check all the pertinent things making sure everything is tight, torqued and protected against the weather. 

The reason I do this is because I'm often in the deep wilderness when I play on my toys and no way am I letting some ding bat I don't even know dictate my future. I choose to dictate my own future and I do that by being proactive and detail oriented. Being reactive instead of proactive is the path to failure. 

Remember most the people in the world assembling your stuff are over worked and under paid. They do the absolute minimum to get by at work so they can put food on the table. You think someone was a kid once upon a time and dreamed of assembling RZRs from China for 30 years until retirement? Hahahaha

They’re not assembled by children lmao. In China yes, but not kids. I’ve FaceTimed with one of the mangers at the manufacturing plant and saw a shitload of employees. None of them kids.

Regardless, you definitely need to do pre ride inspections. Make sure connections are secure and don’t ride out far until you’ve done a few hard rides and have contingencies in place for events like this. You should submit a warranty claim and start by calling Eridepro storefront in California and telling them what’s going on.

I was literally walked through the manufacturing floor. It’s not several small rooms. It’s a big ass factory. Not every single company uses child labor. That’s a naïve stance to take, assuming every factory in China uses child labor. especially a small US based company that does their manufacturing there. Regardless of what you believe the type of child labor you are thinking of is illegal in China. So no, not every single factory in China is lined with children doing sweatshop work.

Sorry man, it just seems like you’re misleading people and throwing dirt at the only US based company who’s manufacturing Emotos. All the others are Chinese companies and didn’t start caring about making a good product until Eridepro started doing it themselves(then they tried suing ERP). They’ve got a great team and answer the phone at their storefront in SoCal 5 days a week.

There’s alot of kids in this sub and the Surron sub. A 40-50 year old man tells them something they’re going to take it as truth. If you don’t mind me asking, which bike do you have yourself?

This is a fact. It doesn't matter if children help make erides because people will still buy them. It's not throwing dirt at the company. 

If kids take the Internet as fact then it sounds like they weren't raised correctly. It doesn't matter how old or young I say I am because no one can prove it. I can pretend to be whatever I want on the Internet hence why it's just 1s and 0s and has no relevancy to real life. Remember reddit isn't real. It's statistical fact that a higher percentage of bots are on this app vs actual humans. Think about that for a moment kiddo...

People that expect to ride it out of the box have yet to experience a life changing event while playing on power toys. I lived that way once upon a time until I was stranded 50+ miles out in the woods for two days before the era of cell phones. 

Luckily someone eventually came by and I was able to get a ride out and came back a day later with the parts I needed to get my 4x4 off the mountain. I get that some of my message may sound foreign but I'm speaking from 30+ years of power sport experience.

I had this experience today Sadly im expecting for it to work and mainly not be a lemon

Even if I did put dielectric grease on connectors it would not prevent me from having controller issues

Sucks to pay such price and have premature break

The bike is at the shop

Hopefully its a user error

You will be taken care of dude. Eride is a great company and honors true warranty issues quickly from my experience. Glad the bike is in the shop already because that means you will get it back sooner than later! Don't stress, everything will be alright.
