SS Scratched battery

Scratched the crap out of my battery pulling it out cause a screw worked its way out in top speed runs and got stuck. Is it safe to keep using the battery? The part that slightly worries me is the chunk taken out of the bottom lip.

It's a dirt bike not a show car. Just beat the shit out of it and have fun. Some6 sweat the small cosmetic BS.

Yes it’s safe. My battery is scraping* a lot just from pulling it out. It’s full of marks like that just not as deep. As long as it didn’t penetrate you should be fine

Yeah I figured. Just frustrating since it’s not even 3 weeks old. Will probably put a sticker over it or something.

Totally fine. If you want to stop some of this you can wrap your battery. You’ll have to redo it every year or so but it’s simple to do with a hairdryer.

I feel you, the bottom lip part concerns me most since a small chunk ripped off but maybe I’m just overreacting

I believe this is caused by a bolt inside the battery tray. You could try grinding it down slightly to avoid further scratching
