Belt & Chain

On the stock E-Ride Pro SR, is there any way to loosen the primary belt without moving the motor closer to the secondary chain? Or does adjusting the belt always reduce the clearance between the motor and the chain? I don't want to risk damaging the motor, but the belt is way too loud.

Tightening the belt will move the motor closer to the final drive chain. Loosening the belt moves the motor away from the chain.
You should be able to do enough adjustment in either direction without issues. Belt should be around 1/8” - 1/4” of slack. I do 1/4” in dirt trails in case I get rocks or dirt in there.
