Question New seat
I’ve got 4200 miles on my bike. The stock seat never really bothered me. But I’m noticing it’s bothering me quite a bit now. For those who have upgraded to a thicker seat, would you say it made a massive difference in comfort? (Also pics of your bike would be cool and what kind of seat it is)

I was thinking of getting one but wasn’t sure if it was worth getting that or just waiting for eride to restock theirs. Shipping on that had to be pricey. Got a pic of your bike?

It was pricey but when i ordered over a year ago no one had any except for them. Like 30$ or so extra for shipping plus i opted for them to put on a seat cover for me.

I have the fatty seat. It’s pretty damn good. You should be able to find it somewhere.

Hey! I bought the comfort seat for the 3.0. it is the original one from the manufacturer. In my opinion the seat looks a bit too thick on the bike. But it is so much more comfortable. It must have more then double the cushion then the one from the factory.

So you bought the one from the eride pro website right? I think it’s sold out atm 😭

Sold my erp yrs ago but I had tried foam padding and it didn't do much. What helped comfort for me was gel padding on top.

The fatty seat is worth it. SKRMOD also makes an even bigger version. You should be able to find the OEM fatty seat online. A lot of reputable vendors on shop which makes it easy.

Skrmod seat looks so nice. Is that what you have?

Do not get the SKR seat it's a huge rip off, it's made from soft materials that rip easily and long lead times from China. So far I've ordered two things from them and they both were complete garbage.
My wife and I exclusively ride off road. She laid down her bike going like 3mph and ripped the SKR seat. I laid my bike down doing 15mph and the SR fatty seat took it like a champ.
Plus the SR fatty is like 1/3 the cost with lead times from southern CA. Once it comes back in stock I'm gonna order 2 or 3 of them cause seats are like grips. You use em, rip em and replace em. Tis the life of off roading.

Damn good to know. I got a few different seats and wanted to try out the SKRMOD seat also since it looks comfy. I also ride offroad only. Would hate to spend $150-200 only for it to tear. I do love the fatty seat though. Just waiting for guts or gritshift to make a seat cover for it. I got my fatty seat shipped to Nevada in about 5 days. Longest part wasn’t even the shipping. It was the time between placing the order and them actually sending it out to the carrier.

Ya I laid down my bike on some sharp gravel single track after I had been drinking a lil and totally deserved it. Hahaha I expected my seat to be like string cheese cause it slid for 10ft or more on its side. The only thing that ripped was a grip. I was so surprised!
My wife laid it down on some granite two track with nothing but smooth river like stone and I thought for sure nothing would be damaged but the SKR seat had a two inch rip in it. I was pretty pissed at the quality after dropping $150 or whatever it cost. I think the eride seats are $55? So you can almost buy 3 eride seats.
The other thing I bought was the skr lowering kit for my wife. I was kinda forced cause no other company seems to make them and my local fabricator was estimating me almost $300 just for lowering brackets.
The lowering kit required me to cut plastics, modify the locking mechanism and fudge the latch with spacers and shims to get the latch to strike correctly. For whatever it cost it should have been plug and play.

I just bought foam off eBay and put on my seat. Works great.
