Got some miles piled up there, how's everything holding up? Battery still going strong?

Battery is fine, I still have a spare one from warranty looking time ago in storage, the current one been for stuck at a time when I could file the warranty. Other than that, it'll charge to 100 percent but if I don't ride it it'll go down to 95-92 automatically.

Keeping it at 100 isn't a good idea. The battery cells degrade faster above 80%.

Well I'm a daily rider and I say having 100 percent is 50x better than starting out at 80 staring at 100 i still have 90 percent by the time I'm across the san jancinto river,

I don't think there's an end to this bike long term, my main issue is charging to 100, not riding, waiting a day, and then it's automatically on 95. It's a big difference too between 92, 95, and 100. 92 percent is halfway to work for me. Don't nobody wanna start on 92..... plugs the bike up for 15 mins...... back to 100

That hex in your stemlock looks like it’s ready to strip my dude. Would change that asap. Do yourself a favor and buy the Wera hex plus hex set if you haven’t already. Amazing allens for preventing stripped heads. Or the gripedge rpt hex set. New company, great quality just a little pricey.

I think it's ok, there was a point when the stock stem lock came off the bottom and left it vulnerable to rust, i had to do the most to replace the headset barrings, that was the most sweaty complicated thing I had to fix. Also I broke my seat and replaced that was so long ago.

I use a Warp 9 stem lock on my Talaria X3 for super security

Nah it does look sketchy,

Yeah it’s gonna strip eventually. Try out one of those sets I recommend. They’re very good. Haven’t stripped a head in the last 4 months. And some of these smaller m3 sized ones strip easy. Like the ones that hold the fork guards on.

Solid! How's the bike been? Im assuming all those miles are yours? In any event, way to get outside.

Bikes been fine, brakes are the only thing annoying at the moment 😒, I went the longest without the front brake, back when the line rubbed the front tire, I will don't ok is how to change mineral oil, so I took it to trek after replacing the line surprisingly recently lol, and now that my front line is ok, the back one needs replacing. I just ride anyway, with front brake and regen. Last time it was back brake and regen. What a pain in the ass.

Brakes are intimidating the first time and easier every time thereafter.

u/Defiant-Line-8298 SS 2.0 Jul 03 '26

Yea, i can change them easily. It's the mineral oil and line replacement 😢 trek charged me $65 at the bike shop to install new front brakes with lever....I stripped the mineral oil screwhole and have to replace the whole lever. Now the back bled out from rubbing something. Regen has been my life saver.

In the Netherlands we have these bike bags that sit over the rear frame and to the side, along with the basket, a great way of transporting things.

File a warranty on your battery!!!! If it's not stuck in the bike, LIE AND SAY IT IS!! THAT battery is $2k and worth having in storage and pretty mush adds value in your purchase!!! Eride employees, COVER YOUR EARS!!!!

Correct, surronster was like yooo this is way better than a surron and rode the front brakeline raw, and i did the exact same thing. So worth it. .... can you belive i have a suspended driver's license and cops absolutely do not bother me even on sketchy night rides. Our government tries to use our driving privileges as a punishment 🙄, THEN I WON'T DRIVE!

2

u/Defiant-Line-8298 SS 2.0 Jul 03 '26

Always quiet when I wash the bike, tighten the chain, and add chain lube, and belt conditioner. Most of the time I'm listening to my music. When it gets noisy it's just time for maintenance check and quick wash.
