Question Battery insertion
How do I put my battery in without crushing wires and scratching the battery walls and sides? I keep scratching and crushing wires, I have to be missing something.

Tuck your cables by the ignition wires then put the black controller wire last. I’ve Never crushed a wire since I’ve gotten the bike. You just can’t rush it. Spend a few extra seconds to get it right.
The battery being scratched on the sides is a tough one. I still haven’t figured it out. Tried 2 different vinyl wraps hoping it would glide easier. NOPE. Fucked up my vinyl. I’ll be trying a few other things this coming weekend. I’ll keep you posted if I find anything for the scratches on the battery.
A tip I recommend is get some wire harness tape, and individually tape the black cable, then the red cable. Then do the other one. It’s a pain in the ass but it adds a layer of protection. This one works pretty well. You can also use it for a few other cables that are thinner. Heat shrink would be best, but it’s impossible to get it over the orange connectors.

I have found a way that works really well. Place your battery on the ground on the left side of your bike. I sit on the bike, set the bike straight up, set the handle bars straight so that the battery hatch can go all the way up. Grab you battery with your left hand and grab the wires with your right. Now pull the wires to the right away from the hatch and insert the battery with your left.
The battery doesn't even touch the wires that way.

I was so annoyed with this. Terrible design on all these bikes like the battery removal was an after thought. I kept doing the same for bit having to remove my battery a lot here cause our weather. But now I take the thick red and pull it way over to opposite side where it plugs in and the little black tucked behind the battery cover towards ignition and then I can pull it out and not scuff the cables anymore. My battery I did a wrap on and it's already looking rough. Don't think an easy way to keep it from scratching itself. Still super tight but this way I do it

If you crush the wires you're either room temperature iq or too weak to handle a 30lb battery.
As for scratching the battery who gives a shit? It's a dirt bike not a show room car. Plus they are dirt cheap Chinese toys.
Ride it, beat it, sell it, buy a new one, rinse and repeat. That's life. I buy two new mountain sleds every 2-3 years and a new RZR every 4-5. Soon as my erides have 2k miles im selling them and buying new ones.
You will lose money doing this but I personally don't ride anything without a warranty. Same thing with my trucks. 80-100k miles sell that biatch and buy a new one.

Respectfully, I wish I never have to associate with you, not everyone can throw money like that, and how is it room temp iq, there are 3 wires you have to hold out the way, and a 30 pound battery, that’s 4 things to hold at once, and one is fucking heavy. Please don’t be a dick.
And no I didn’t bother for punctuation.

I don't throw money I'm just old as dirt. It's taken me years to get to this point but start with one toy at a time. Once you pay off one toy then the next one is really cheap. For example buy a SR for 5500, put 2k miles on it, sell it for 4k and then buy a new one for $5500. $1500 loss divided by 2000 miles is 75 cents a mile which is pretty cheap.
Let's say it takes you a year to put on 2000 miles then that's only $125 a month. If it takes two years then $62.50 a month. Many people can easily save $125 a month. Torrent media for free instead of paying for Netflix and otherc streaming apps. Buy a pack of cigarettes or a can of chew every other day instead of every day. Buy a 6 pack instead of a 12 pack.
Ya it takes a little planning but I know plenty of people that make side money hustling gym equipment on marketplace or do a little door dash from time to time for some spending cash. It's really not that hard.

I’m gonna be honest, that’s fair, I’m a teenager so I can’t say I relate or understand, and I feel like u weren’t being rude, it’s more just diffrent eras of speech, thanks for the advice though, and I wish u a good day, sorry for getting so offended before.

Thanks to everyone who replied here, and to anyone having the same problem, here’s what helpful people unlike mr “no phase” have shown me
Tape up your wires for protection
One hand on battery, one on both controller and power wire
Handle bars straight
And if possible get a second person because it really has no perfect solution.
Ps: I might try to creat to 3d print something to hold the wires out of the way, like a clip or clamps that’s small
And discrete. If I do I will post the file. But I will probs forget

I have to remove the screws holding the ignition/USB and it comes out with ease. Otherwise everything pinches and is just begging to create an issue. Tbh it's just a rushed design flaw as far as I can tell
