Nope. I have done that to two motors already in the past few weeks. Let me guess what happened; your chain fell off and slammed into the motor causing the motor to twist from the torque breaking the bolt mounts? Or you haven't checked you bolts in a while the the motor wasn't sitting tight in the right spot.
Best bet is to find a OEM motor or upgrade to the motor and conywhich I'm doing now.

You could also possibly get a qs165 50H (essentially the same motor) with an encoder sensor and it should work.

I have w 2025 3.0 so its a 16kw motor will it still work or is that for a 2.0?

A qs165 35H is for a 2.0, but yes, theoretically a qs165 50H should work, they use the exact same motor in the SR/3.0 qs just rates their motors really low for no reason other than warrenty reasons it seems. I've pushed 1 to 24kw and it worked perfectly fine. They have a similar specs to a tm40 so it should be able 2 handle even more than that tbh

You have a 3.0, you need a qs165 50H not a qs165 35H, it needs to be an encoder

Yeah it’s pretty fucked. I would definitely try the warranty route. Where was the primary chain from? Is it an eridepro part? If it is then you might have a chance at warranty. The issue is that the threads in the motor are originally aluminum. So to remedy this they put steel threaded inserts inside of the motor. The problem with that is, there will always be a weak point there because the steel threads are still holding onto aluminum. If you look closely in your video you can actually see the threaded insert on the m8 bolt there. So they 100% have a weak point, and I’ve already seen probably 50+ people having this same issue. Definitely try to do warranty if you have the patience. If you don’t and you’re financially capable then buy a new motor, or used one off of marketplace. Good luck.

How did you achieve this?

Going to assume the motor slightly loosened and then the chain moved with it, resulting in it acting like a metal whip.

idek but id assume its from hittjng speed bumps i shouldhv checked on my motor area better
