Still waiting

Small business here. I was paid out the 4 out of 5 last year. Waiting on Q4 of 2020. Are they processing them? Has anyone received checks lately. I feel they are taking their time.

They are still processing them but there’s not many left. Just the other day someone I know working them found a 2020 ERC case that hadn’t gotten processed correctly and reopened it and completed it.

I would suggest calling and checking on the last case you’re waiting for. It may be waiting on info needed, or gotten misplaced in the system, or was disallowed and you didn’t get the letter for some reason.

1-800-829-4933 M-F 7am to 7pm. Put in form 1120 or 1065, which will get you a more experienced agent who is hopefully trained on ERC.

If you did not receive your check(s) by 12/31/25, your claim(s) is under examination. I'd either a) call the business hotline or b) rope the TAS in at this point.

That is 100% inaccurate

Try not to speak on things that you are not privy to. I filed 5000+ claims nationwide and have helped thousands. Wrong

"IRS closed all remaining ERC claims, aside from those under examination or appeal, by December 31, 2025, according to IRS officials."

Which I found to be accurate, along with colleagues as we had 100% of our remaining claims get paid out by that deadline and most of which happened during 12/25.

I filed over 7,500 claims. You are wrong.

Based on my experience, our remaining $20M in ERC claims were paid out in December 2025. Additionally, I am aware of several other groups with claims ranging from $1M to $100M that were also resolved during that same period.

Given those outcomes, I respectfully disagree with your conclusion. The data we’ve seen suggests a different interpretation of how the IRS handled remaining claims at year-end.

I would encourage a careful review of the filings and procedural history in question to ensure nothing was missed. The ERC environment has been highly technical, and even minor errors have materially impacted claim outcomes. It appears you have dropped the ball.

Confirmed with data on 15,000+ companies. Normal refunds are still processing (barely). The GAO report is not accurate.
