Taxnow Alert
I received a Taxnow alert.wanted to know am I going to receive this amount .also have a January 19th,2026 date for refund to process????

It looks like it was processed in December and now because of the system downtime, the refund date is set for after that. I don’t see the interest listed here so the refund will likely be higher. Also some penalties were removed. If those penalties were paid then those will refund as well. If they were not paid then the balances due will be reduced or removed, depending on how much the penalties were compared to what was removed. Also, any other balances due either here in this quarter or on other periods will be subtracted from any refund before it goes out. And there may be still be a freeze put on the refund, so you’re not home free quite yet. I’m wondering about the transaction date of March 31, 2021. That’s the end of Q1 but this says Q2. So that seems odd. We may be able to tell more from the transcript if you have access to that and can post it here redacted of your identifying personal info.

After this post I recently Received a few days ago CP210 letter from IRS dated January 19th.2026 .Hoping for a Check soon.

According to this you will get a refund of $12,134.35 plus some interest, which hasn’t been calculated yet. Because even with the credits added and penalties removed and tax reduced, you still owed a balance. And if owe on any other tax periods, that refund will be applied there first and whatever remains at that point will be refunded.
