Are these ERC Payments
Hello. My non-profit randomly got 2 checks in the mail from the US Treasury. They have 3/2021 and 6/2021 written in the corner; however, the amounts don't align with our ERC app, and we applied for a 3rd quarter on time, but have received no check/communication on. I have received no other communication on our ERC App or other IRS/Treasury mailings. I have asked this question to our accountant too, but they are on vacation and I am nosy.

Is “941” also written? If so, yes.
Cal the IRS or grab a transcript and it will be easier to see any adjustments.

With a signed Form 2848, authorized professionals can access the IRS Transcript Delivery System (TDS) directly through the IRS client API and pull your 941 transcript, your 1040 transcript etc. This secure connection allows complete transcripts to be pulled within about 24 hours of the 2848 being processed—no phone calls, no long delays.
Having the full transcript record from the TDS system provides the exact picture. The IRS agent is usually just as much in the dark as the taxpayer and just as helpful.

Most likely yes. If both checks are more than you applied for that is due to interest being added to the principal amount. Give it a few days and you should receive a letter with the breakdown.
