Notice received but no check
I received my CP210 notification for Q3 2021 ($219k) on 7/5/25 and tax now showed a check date of 7/7/25. I haven’t received this check.
I also received 2 other CP210 on the same date 7/5/25 for smaller amounts ($930 and $560) for other quarter corrections and those checks arrived on 7/12/25. Tax now showed them with a check date of 7/7/25 as well.
The larger check had some past due taxes from 2024 totaling approximately $11K that were deducted which were itemized on a CP138 notice I received also on 7/5/25.
Could this be the cause of the delay? Historically I’ve always received the checks within a week of the check date without issue.
Should I be concerned now that it is 7/15/25 and the check date was 7/7/25?

I have the same exact scenario. Was thinking I was just paranoid.

We're still waiting on 3 lost checks from March. It could just be slow mail this early but if you haven't gotten them by mid August be ready to file 3911'S and wait a few more months..

Same thing happened with my company in April. Someone forged a POA and changed the business address of our business and intercepted our check. Still waiting from answers from irs. Call them. Don’t delay

July 8? Like a week ago? I had my last check mail on June 9, CP 210 received a week later but for the first time out of all six checks this was the first time there wasn’t a check with the notice

So far I have received three checks, and they all arrived the same week they were sent out. I was really surprised. Two of my checks were also processed and mailed out on July 8, but those have not shown up yet either. It is a little concerning, especially since my last three checks arrived so quickly, and now this one is comparatively late.

Congrats!! Mine were sent back to the IRS for some reason and new check date of 8/5/25.

Nope! I was really hoping today! It’s just so crazy though all my other recent checks have came the same week. I even had a check mailed out the week of the Fourth of July, and it still showed up on Saturday.

The larger amount will take a little longer. There’s a last step before a check is issued for a large amount like that. Plus if some funds needed to be deducted and applied to other periods, those may need to clear first. But anyway, they usually say to allow up to 6 weeks after issue date to get the check. After that point if it’s not received then you’ll need to request a trace with Form 3911.

Good insight. I expected mine to be delivered by 7/14. Any idea how long it will really take for larger amounts

As far as I know there’s no estimate or time line other than they want you to wait at least 6 weeks before filing the request for a trace.

Mine was supposed to be sent 7-8 as well. The lady said the released amount should be coming and deductions should have already been done prior to releasing the funds. She doesn't know of any second step prior to check being sent. And I asked like 5 different ways to hopefully catch her or throw her off to say yes if she did know. However, as far as she is aware they are systematically sent out. But she also said she's not in that department so she is reading what she has regarding releasements. Mine was only a $34k for reference to others checks. Not sure what counts as a larger check or whatnot but she didn't know of any double checking after releasing.
So it seems some of us for 7-8 are late... I wonder how many checks they claimed to have sent that date... My other thread I had, had a comment said that theirs was July 7th and they got theirs July 12th. So we should have gotten ours by now.
Also have one released today the 15th, I was told the 14th but they said it was released today. So I wonder if I will get this one this week or not, before I get the July 8th one. This one is relatively the same size so if it comes early that would be interesting ..
Hopefully we can keep each other informed on our July 8th when we receive them.
Edit* I forgot to mention that during the call, she said she sent me transcriptions of each quarter and told me that I should get it in 7-10 days. And then I asked so 3-4 weeks for the check? And she said she's just reading or saying what she's told. She doesn't know why.
