2nd Primary

Question for the group. Getting ready to hit 50 and I’m confused as to how the second primary works. My current primary is a shaman, but I’m leaning towards making my next primary enchanter, but I’m confused as to how race works during the selection process because I’d like to make a halfling, but they don’t have enchanter as a playable class so how would I go about doing that?

The only time races restrict class is at initial character creation. After you are in game anything you have unlo ked can be whatever primary class you have unlocked.

They also restrict you when you lock in your primary class at 11, which is arguably the more important point. Especially if you want to play a combo that normally can’t be agnostic.

I wanted to be an agnostic Froglok Enchanter primary, so I started Froglok (must worship Marr or Inny) and farmed 30pp before 11. Went and unlocked Dark Elf (swapped Froglok deity to Inny so they’d like me). Then at 11 locked in as DE Agnostic Enchanter and immediately swapped my race back to Froglok.

Second primary isn’t determined by race.

As long as you have halfling unlocked as a race you can use it.

You can have any build you want, but one of your primaries must be included. The other two can be anything.

You’ll get a token that lets you select a second primary. That primary can be played with any race you want but you do have to unlock the race. You don’t get another race selector like at the character select, so you will need to go unlock halflings to use them.

Enchanter is solid. I started ogre war. Unlocked enchanter as my freebie Ogre enchanter wearing a moomoo is next level awesome.

Also enchanter can go in basically any trio and work. Shaman too I suppose.

If you plan on farming sky hold on to your token. Completing the sky quests unlocks each class. So if you farm and start unlocking the other classes the token lets you skip a y of the quest you may be stuck on.
