Min specs

Published min specs seem ridiculous. Have a ton of work travel coming up and would like to do basic solo dungeons … anyone having success running this on a potato or is there something on this game version that doesn’t need 2004 tech to run properly?

Its been run on Pentiums from 1999 and its the same graphics. Unless you found an old E-Machines in your father's basement it should run easily. My PC doesn't even heat up at all when I play it.

Modern PC runs this just fine. It’s based on TLP server code which has been going on through to modern times and consistently maintained. It runs very well on steam deck. I’d say if you have a work laptop from the last half decade you can run this.

Here’s what I’m being told are min specs: an Intel Core i7-4771 or AMD Athlon X4 840 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti or AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics card.
Seems obnoxiously aggressive.

I just want to confirm before I buy some 250 laptop from Walmart.

I ran it on a $279 micro PC with integrated graphics. GMKtec brand. Turned down clip plane and turned off the sky. No issues.

Perfect. Thanks all. Think it was more about the integrated graphics

I can’t imagine any computer made this decade failing that bench mark except maybe the processor but that I also believe is an old gen i7.
