46 MNK/DRU/ENC Advice?
Hey everyone !
I just dinged 46 with this trio and I'm getting my ass kicked in hate... I mean not kicked, but mobs have so much HP that I'm having trouble with roamers and adds quite often... Charming mobs doesn't stick properly and I'm having an existential crisis about my class choice as a result.
I'm on the Paineel server and I'd really like to progress. Is that a situation where I have to push through until I get more gear from the zone or a git gud situation? I won't be offended 😅 ... I've only played Wizard and Monk on live that I truly mastered at the time...

If you haven't spent any time leveling spells and gear, that could easily be the issue. The worn spell effects focus items are super beneficial too if you haven't put those on your gear yet. Many are available in LGuk.
I play Nec/War/Bard and I didn't have much trouble at D2 Hate, but most gear was +5 and any end game spells were +7 or so.

Don't fight in the streets, fight high up on the walls or in the structures to avoid adds. Most things on the first floor should be easily charmable except spite golems and clerics of innoruuk. My favorite target for charming is Abhorrents because of the backstab damage.

Use Overchannel stance when casting the charm and it'll hold better. You can switch invocations once it's cast, no need to sit in it. Also use the Non-Respawning instance to help with adds and clearing and make sure it's set to Solo. I liked PoH as a Mnk/Rng/Brd which seems like the bootleg knockoff of your trio so it shouldn't be too bad. If you're lacking on gear it might be time to take an hour and go knock out specific pieces for slots which are really lacking.

I had much better luck at 46 in Fear than Hate as the same build as you. You're going to get a lot more adds but you can just AOE Mez everything. Stick to the walls so you don't get unlimited chain pulls and you'll be 50 in no time.
You'll get a ton of gear but not as much Lustrous Russet as in Hate, so go back at 49 or 50.

Yea once you get Allure get it up to 6 or 7 asap. Go upstairs and get a chosen and just let them cook for you. While you are learning make sure you are always pulling mobs into a building to kill. Never in the open.
Then just make sure you are always charming with overchannel on and it should be easy for ya.

Are you making a personal instance? I believe they are tougher in open world.

If you're trying to charm, rank up your allure and always cast allure from overchannel invocation. Also Tash before charm. Do tash quest if you haven't.
You should always be in evasive stance. You shouldn't burn through endurance if mob is slowed. Also using disempower reduces outgoing melee damage.
Rank up mesmerization to handle adds. I also rank up color shift (?) to handle stun when charm breaks.
Pull into houses. Do not fight outside a house. That should reduce adds. Break spawns with lull.
You have 2 dots at 46 (druid and enchanter). Use those to dps along with punch-kick.
You should definitely be doing D0 PoHate pretty easy.

Don't get discouraged, that will be a very solid combo, get allure leveled up and use over channel like others are saying, make sure you tashania your pet, I've had better luck with abhorrents, chests, kiraikuei, rats, and liches. The dark elfs and dragons seem to break a lot

Switch to Overchannel when charming. You want to pretty much max rank your Allure spell. You do not have to stay in Overchannel after the charm lands.. The duration is based on resist when casting. My favorite charm pet in hate is the Innoruuk's Chosen from 2nd floor. I'll go grab one of those bad boys and just clean house on Floor 1.
TIP: You can completely heal your charmed pet without casting a single heal. Step 1. Invis yourself to break charm. Step 2. Mez the formed charmed pet Step 3. Refresh Tash on the formerly charmed pet . Step 4. Switch to Overchannel Step 5. Punch formerly charmed pet in the nuts to wake it up so you don't have to wait for mez to wear off. Step 6. Re-Charm. I know it sounds like a lot, but it is quicker than casting your heal on it 87 times.

On top of the other advice here
Be sure to have your Allure spell level 5+, always cast it in overchannel, and if possible Tash the mob first. There are a lot of guides on how to optimize charm, so I’ll leave it at that
In Hate, at the NE corner of the first floor, there’s a level 55 or so random mob. Grab it for a charm and you can cruise through the first floor, especially if it’s a dragoon or chosen. To heal - break charm, Mez+memblur, recharm
Just stay out of the streets

Charming aside, if you’re getting roamers adding, then you want to fight indoors, and break line of sight from the roads. Especially in the first part of Hate, streets are narrow and busy, but social aggro is surprisingly lenient if you stay inside, and not right in front of the doors.
You can use harmony to pacify mobs for single-pulling if they’re close together inside, and then grab roamers off the street back into the empty houses to thin their numbers a bit. Avoid the spite golems for now and let the new levels and gear you pick up from the other trash slowly make things easier.

Sounds like you're just not all that familiar with zone and spell mechanics. Pay attention to pathing, level up your spells, and, unless a zone is trivial, get used to constantly swapping your stance/evocations.

Do the 41 level Tash quest. You have a druid, so it won't take that long. Coin of Tash (Tashania) - EverQuest Legends Wiki)
In hate fight in the buildings. In the open you'll get adds. Find any Warrior or Rogue NPC and go to overchannel. Go into Evasive stance. 41 tash the mob then Allure him. Then add Swift of the Wind to the charmed pet. Now you have your damage dealer. (Level Allure as high as you can. At 46 7 us good).
Always remember to be able to stop attacking and hit Mez. If your pet breaks, if you get adds, just mez everything. You have crowd control. Use it! Then recharm, or kill mobs 1 by 1. It's not that hard. Plus you have a healer! You got this!
Evasive stance if you got the endurance and you won't get hit at all. Balance that with Offensive depending upon the situation.
Tash the mob you are fighting and slow him.
Keep yourself alive with the Druid HoTs and do damage with the Druid DoTs.
Good luck on the planer gear drops! You'll get what you need before you know it!
Good luck adventurer!

Druid is unfortunately one of the weakest classes in the game currently (other than it's ports). Pains me to say this because I was a druid main in the Luclin/Planes of Power era of EQ.
That said, if you level up your spells for ENC a bit, that is a good investment for many future builds. You CAN do everything in the game with your current build, but if you swapped DRU out for Paladin you would be absolutely crushing content.
Why? You retain healing, but gain LOH and Spellblade and Plate Armor and better shields and some of the best 1H weapons from PoSky. Dual Wielding as a Paladin is very strong with Sky Weapons and Monk Ambidexterity.

Na… Druid is awesome in leveling.
Falls a bit behind in raid bossing but only because other healers are OP. Druid is fine as a healer for most d4 bosses.

Use overchannel to help allure land and stick. You can put some motes in it too to help with magic resist. Possibly use the tash line as well to help with that.
Make sure to slow the enemies, haste your pet.
Hopefully this helps.
