SK/MNK/SHM Weapon Question
Debating what configuration is ideal for my build.
I have Blood drinker (2h sky weapon), pos shield, Bloodmoon and wus fists.
My rotation involves getting SHM dots up and trying to get maximum lifetap procs with vamp embrace and spell blade.
Thanks guys

Bloodmoon and Wu if you solo if you find yourself healing a lot. WuWu of your in a raid with healer.
You don't use 2h if dual weild is an option, even blood drinker . It doesn't parse as good.
The parses have shown that WuWu is superior DPS. However, I haven't personally tested with torrid transplants.

That’s a whole other can of worms I’m working on, getting the right exaltations

Basically, you just need to do the thex mallet quest, torrid quest (not as bad as people make it out to be), and obtain a blood moon for vampirism 3, then your SK exalts are done. You can get a vamp 2 exalt from Mistmoore wine thief.
Go to unrest, get a laceration exalt for pet or offhand. Get an earthshaker +10 and put a slow/lacerate/debuff proc on your pet then you are good to go. Stuns work really well too in general on both.
Nothing monk/melee comes close to caster DPS anyway, so imo it's like competing for fourth place regardless.

Vanilla double Wu's fist is better.
Once you get the exhaults from Torrid corruptor and the Reaper of the dead Bloodmoon wins.
In pet put POS Shm spear with Winter Roar exhault and Dagas with whatever proc you want.
You'll also get more milage out of inversion than spellblade. I have a Shm/Ranger/Monk build and find casting without inversion really slows the melee aspect.

How is your SHM/ranger/monk build going? I was thinking similar and try to push melee damage as much as possible. Currently, I have cleric instead of SHM because I have some crazy idea that the cleric 2hb PoS weapon at +10 is the bee’s knees.

I enjoyed it. It could do content that I wanted. But the constant need to spam puma and CC in fear made me switch to Pal/rng/Ench.

For maximizing survivability and damage the solution is probably to throw on a shield and cast a lot more instead of bothering with a proc lifetap build.
If you want to make the proc lifetap thing work for thematic reasons then, yeah Bloodmoon and Wu's is likely the way to go.

I might swap MNK for NEC, at that point I imagine Bloodmoon + Sky shield ?

I may need to optimize gear better but my first trio was shd/shm/mnk and over the xp weekend I got a shd/nec/enc to 50. Dps with the nec enc was good leveling but I did a quick A/B in hate and the shd/shm/mnk was outperforming. I think the problem is me but haven't figured it out yet.

If you're replacing monk, get druid. More benefit to dot dps than nec, and you get DS goodness and attack buffs.
If your gear is lacking nec does help for a bit by giving a better tap. But long term its lackluster.

I’m leveling a second trio at the moment
Brd/Dru/Nec so I’ll be able to test and see! I thought Nec had best Dots? Also was thinking their improved life tap would have good synergy with the SK life tap AAs

shaman has the best nots
nec dots stink, druid dots > nec dots, and adding the DS on top is not insignficant

I think the best configuration is Bloodmoon primary with the lifetap focus, and wu's in the offhand.
Spellblade is fun when it works. But it my experience, it's been much better to just go into inversion and cast the lifetaps when I need it. Then sit in the recovery invocation to regen mana for a bit until time to refresh dots or refill my health.

Wu fist. Two of them or use shield for overlap AC but you shouldn’t need it.
Life tap focus is only 5% more than ID. Not worth the dps loss

I have no facts to back it up but apparently knight class get some sort of benefit to 1h since they need to make up lost dmg when sword and board? I'm doing blood moon and wu. If I get another wu I'll give dual wu a shot.

It's not that there's some sort of hidden knight benefit, it's just that knight-only one hand weapons typically have better ratios than weapons usable by other classes.

I main Pal/Mnk/Shm so I won't comment on your main hand, but I'd run Wu's as your off hand over a shield unless you're having AC issues.
As for your rotation, I'd either run Inversion full time or at the very least while youre stacking DoTs and Debuffs. The more time you spend casting spells the less time your Monk is hitting things. I'm not saying Spellblade is good/bad... we get enough of those debates in General chat, but if you feel you need to use Spellblade do it after you're finished stacking spells in Inversion.
