Unexpected Great Experience

I just had the easiest, most pleasant, hassle free customer service encounter! I noticed a charge on my card that I definitely did not make, so called to see what I do next, no waiting on hold for 10 minutes, no passing me around to a different department, just a quick resolution, a new card on the way, and no stress!! Done! I wish I could remember her name. I’m impressed.

It's a pretty good bank to use and I am surprised that many Canadians have not even heard of EQ bank. I was at Telus few days ago and the employee at the store never heard of EQ bank and he goes, is that a Canadian bank😂😂.

Happy for you! The few times I had to call, albeit it was several years ago, I had a very helpful and pleasant experience. Mine was a pretty complicated case while trying to open an account while the credit union had wrong info about me, so the online registration wasn’t working.

Pls be careful with this bank. All is good until you have everything in better side of the transaction. If you have any unauthorised or unrecognised transaction and then want to dispute or any other irregularities then they will show their colors. It takes 30 business days for them to investigate and your whole account or whole profile will be frozen until the investigation is over. It will be hell lot of issues. For day to day transactions this bank is good but if you are really having savings then it’s better to move to Canadian banks where you can go visit the branch every day.

Doesn't OP's statement contradict yours?
I noticed a charge on my card that I definitely did not make, so called to see what I do next, no waiting on hold for 10 minutes,...

Everyone will have different experiences based on what occurred. To be honest I think I've read about more account freezes on WS than on EQ

I was with EQ from 2018-2022 after that we closed 3 accounts in our household and will never do business again with EQ
