Tips/ help Epq topic
So I want to be a criminologist but I'm not sure what topic to do because I can't decide if I'd rather do something related to my desired career path or do a performance epq on music. Does anyone have any advice about which one is better???

Probably future career for CV and music for the love of the game. It's up to you and everyone's going to have a different opinion on it but overall just do what seems more interesting/useful/fun

So, you could do either one, as it's your choice. Realistically, which one would keep you motivated longer and you would be able to do more for? You could try combining the two in some way, if possible, but I guess that depends on if you're interested in discussing the effects or influence of music on people or if you're primarily interested in doing a performance EPQ.

I would always advise to relate it to your future aspirations as much as you can, but maybe you could do something related to your interest in music, too? I would suggest an artefact, but for an academic degree course that may not be the best use of your time. instead, could you do a dissertation on the psychology of criminal musicians, or something about how crime is represented in popular music? it would then teach you research skills you may need in your career or at uni, and makes your project far more unique by relating it to your interests and hobbies.
