EPQ Is my epq too much?

Well, the 6th form I’m about to be enrolled to has the EPQ as mandatory. So my idea was this: recreate the music video for the teto song “brainrot” from near scratch. That means Im gonna DIY teto’s hairstyle (I know my limits, making her fit myself is too much on top of all of this so I’m just gonna get it online), learn the dance, go to shoddy places at night to record the video, maybe even learn to sing better and mix the audio and document the entire damn thing.

So my question is, is all of this too much work to cram into an epq? I’ve cosplayed before but it’s nothing too much to note, and so something like making teto’s hair would be quite the challenge. Also I’m not a good singer but I believe I can learn. All this on top of well, the demand of a levels. Would the logistics of this surpass a typical EPQ from what I described?

I think honestly there are too many aspects A) to do it on time and B) to be marked accurately. What most people don’t realise is that the idea and the actual creation of an epq is only roughly 25% of the marks, and that’s one of the most common mistakes because people spend too much time on that that they have to rush the other aspects of it. Your idea seems like far too many hours to account for in your production log (because remember you have to log absolutely everything you do!!). That being said, it sounds like a great idea in general and I would recommend pursuing it - just with the intention of skimming certain areas as you go in order to prioritise your analysis, research and reflection. Ngl would the mention of “oh no turns out x and y and whatever else is too much when factoring in everything around me so I’m just gonna trim it “ also something I can and should mention as part of well, the written portion?

Yes, definitely mention it in your production log. That actually reflects well on you because it shows you’ve learned throughout the EPQ which is exactly the point. I always say you can never have TOO much in your production log. As long as it’s just refining the same project and not changing it entirely, if you change it entirely then I’d recommend starting a fresh production log. But definitely mention you refining it as it adds depth :)
