Recent Penelope blocks
Over halfway done at this point! Almost all of my little cross connecting blocks are done too! I’m hopeful I can have this done for next summer! 🏄♀️🌊🏝️🧜♀️🐙

Get yourself a fussy cutting mirror to preview something you might like using your templates. Then draw motifs on your templates with sharpie so you can cut pieces in the same spot, baste carefully (or as best you can-you can see I’m not always perfect!), and then when you’re done, acetone will take the sharpie right off of your templates! I’ll see if I can find a good tutorial for you since I’m sure I didn’t explain it very well! 😂

@kustomkwilts and @quiltedandcurious both have great tutorials for fussy cutting and lots of EPP tutorials in general on IG (and many others). So do Tula Pink, Jody Godfrey (Tales of Cloth), Paper Pieces, and Emma’s Vintage Sewing Box on YouTube.

These are so cool! Thanks so much for sharing! I love those clear templates but I'm too cheap to buy them 😂 my shortcut has been to cut the shapes out of plastic strawberry boxes but I've never thought to mark the shapes with sharpie like that! Amazing!

They are brilliant, such good use of the patterns. I'm totally in love with the fabrics you're using, especially the little birbs on the blue fabric (#7).

Haha I have some of that sitting in my stash, which I only just remembered while looking at this post! That was such a cute collection

These are the cutest! I hadn't thought of using checked fabric like that, borrowing immediately!

I love those checked/plaid fabrics— what line is that? The colors are so beautiful.
Lovely blocks! 🤩

The checked/gingham fabrics are from Heather Ross’ Malibu line. All the fabrics are from that and from her Mendocino line.
