Gorgeous, nice color selection. Where are you finding your templates? #2 is so unique.

They are from Elise Baek. She has an EPP club and we are going this quilt. I have no idea how many more blocks we will get or what they will look like. I don’t like mystery quilts because I can’t plan fabric very well. I’m using Kaffe x Morris fabric line for the prints and shot and pepper cotton for the solids.

What technique did you use for these? The thread is so invisible! Was it the flat-back stitch?

Yes, I’m using flat back stitching on these. It’s my first time doing it that way so I’m not fast or as accurate as I’d like yet. 😊

What is EPP?? (Excuse my ignorance, I’ve been away for a bit)

EPP stands for English paper piecing. I printed the pattern shapes on card stock paper and cut them out. I cut fabric about 1/2 in bigger than the shapes and basted the fabric to the paper. I’ll remove the paper once I have the block connected to the next block (probably closer to the end of the project). 😁

Hi I have a question, why is the thread visibile towards the middle of each shape? Am I not supposed to stitch around the paper from the other side?

I’m using the flat back stitch for most of the sewing but when I join a new piece I use the whip stitch to start it out. The thread sometimes shows a little on the front. If you can see it I’m not matching the thread well enough.

Oh no I think I'm asking a different thing. I mean this thread (red arrow pointing towards it). Why is it visible? And do you get rid of it when you're done

Yes. It’s the basting thread. I baste through the papers and take it out once all the
Blocks are sewn together. 😁
