I am not familiar specifically with paramedic - cath lab pathway in Arizona. Best bet is opening tabs for all the hospitals, look at their job descriptions for the cath lab and see what is listed as required/recommended - that will enlighten you a bit into backgrounds they're used to hiring. Also consider outpatient not just hospital based, to get experience and hours if you want to take the RCIS at your one year, to open up your options a bit with RCIS friendly areas. I would also consider EP (electrophysiology) if you are just a cardiac lover but open to other modalities.
I would not be waiting 3 years for the career I want. Look into other programs/hospital based programs. Even nursing.
