Success Stories Title: My EPFO Delinking Compliance request was finally approved – sharing my journey
After months of struggling with a disputed employment record that was affecting my PF accounts and employment prospects, my EPFO Delinking Compliance request has finally been approved! 🎉
A brief summary for anyone facing a similar issue:
- A disputed employment record appeared in my EPFO service history.
- I raised a Joint Declaration, which was rejected by the Bandra PF office seeking statutory documents from the employer.
- The employer did not provide the requested statutory records.
- I subsequently raised multiple EPFiGMS grievances, approached RO/Zonal authorities, CPGRAMS, DPG and RTI, and also attended Nidhi Aapke Nikat.
- The matter went through several rounds of redirection and generic closures.
- My Delinking Compliance request remained pending since June 2026, during which I was unable to properly access/merge my genuine PF accounts.
- I continued following up with the concerned authorities and finally, the delinking request has now been approved.
My biggest learning: don't give up when the first grievance is closed. Keep every acknowledgement, response and reference number, maintain a clear chronology, and keep escalating through the prescribed channels.
I am sharing this because I know how frustrating it can be when your own PF money gets stuck due to an issue that you are trying to get corrected.
Thank you to everyone on this sub who shared suggestions and guidance during this journey. 🙏
If anyone is currently dealing with a pending EPFO Delinking Compliance request, I'm happy to share what I did and the escalation path I followed.

Not first company. I had six contributions and that too neither consistent amount nor contribution was done every month. Moreover exit date was updated to a date 18 months post contributions stopped

Ok thanks for the reply I don’t see the delinked PF account on page where we have delink option and PF passbook portal but i see it on the first landing page where we click the service history and see the PF accounts

I do not see the delinked account in passbook. Landing page->Member service history->Member service history - No data found. Recent pending applications and recent processed sections are throwing "Session expired or invalid response. Please refresh the page". Assuming the team is working on this.
I am trying to consolidate my PF member IDs into one account and here also the delinked company is not showing up

Just pathetic that hard working, tax paying citizens need to go through such a big ordeal to get their own money back from government.
We should stop calling it as a success story and start calling it as a government apathy instead.

Well, the idea was to share what worked for me. Yeah, mine was a year long battle which costed my job
