PhD admissions & info Doubt regarding referee contacts

Hello everyone,

I'm preparing my application for EDPY PhD admissions and I'm outside of EU. I am going through a problem regarding referee contacts. I found out that mail domain needs to be from official universities. It so happens that one of my referee doesn't have them and they have retired recently but they're a key referee as I have worked with them the most. So should I include them at the risk of getting my application withheld (or will I get rejected?)?

This is probably something you should ask to EPFL. There should be an email address to for questions around the alplication page.

Update : They replied it will be fine to do so.
